Khalid is a Digital Healthcare Transformation leader, with strong and extensive experience in managing healthcare national initiatives and eHealth transformation projects. 15 years implementing Electronic Medical records and digital healthcare solutions in EMEA and LATAM.
Khalid acted as the head of the I-SEHA National Healthcare Information System Program in the Kingdom of Bahrain, an integrated clinical and administrative solution for primary care and secondary care, covering 28 health centers within primary care and 7 peripheral hospitals and more than 4.000 healthcare professionals for a population of 1.2 million citizens. Khalid has also integrated a full electronic health record and health information exchange in multiple regions in Spain, Morocco, Jordan, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and KSA.
Recently Khalid has acted as a principal architect of clinical health information exchange HIE and health insurance bus for the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. defined the strategy and led the high-level design of the solution representing Etisalat Digital healthcare vertical.
Today, Khalid looks after the new Etisalat Digital Health unit for the UAE to develop the market and contribute to the growth of the eHealth sector in the region, helping healthcare organizations to transform their digital landscape, using new technologies and new approaches to the healthcare industry, to change how patients are treated in hospitals and at home.
