Session: Managing Consent in an Open Banking World

Managing Consent in an Open Banking World

With the introduction of the Revised Payment Service Directive (PSD2), banks may be forced to step up amid intensifying competition. PSD2 enables banks and customers to benefit from third-party APIs to obtain a better experience for their financial activities. However, this means that banks will have to share sensitive data, such as a customer’s financial information to third-party companies, while also making sure that the customer’s data and other information are secure. This session will cover the basic concepts around consent management, tips for successful implementation, and share how banks should go about bracing for it.

Learning outcomes:

  • Reasons why speeding up the API journey is imperative for banks success
  • The anatomy of aggregation services
  • Strong Customer Authentication and how it can create a framework for identifying, detecting, and responding to threats in Open Banking
  • Balancing act between innovation, security and consent
