Dr. Shivangi Arvind is an experienced horticulturist, competent young scientist and industry leading expert on plant physiology and controlled environment agriculture. She currently directs all R&D efforts in artificial intelligence and the internet of things to create an AIoT platform for digital indoor farming. She also aids in the overall strategic direction of the company’s intelligent indoor farming technology. Dr. Arvind is a recognized public speaker and advocate of the need for and benefits of modern agriculture, regularly speaking at global ag conferences in the U.S, Netherlands, and Southeast Asia. She was also formally invited by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to speak at this year’s G20 Summit (cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic) on ‘Innovation in agri-food to achieve sustainable development and global food security’.

Indoor farming 4.0: Towards a self-regulating environment
The session will focus on the evolution of indoor farming from just an alternate method of growing food to solving global food security issues.
