The future of AI

Artificial intelligence is impacting the future of every industry known to humans, acting as a main push force of emerging companies and technology.

But what is artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence is the intelligence showed by machines created from natural intelligence from humans.

I believe it will continue to cause innovation in the future.

Practically every industry, now, has some sort of AI. For example, robotics in warehouses, development of games, education and in supermarkets.

Which involves, big data, robotics, machine learning and IOT (Internet of things).

One sophisticated industry is healthcare, which heavily relies on precision and diagnostic accuracy.

With the help of AI, drug development speeds up, anomalies can be found, more successful injuries, and virtual nurses can monitor patients more accurately.

All can be achieved with AI and machine learning, but this is the future that requires a high level of computational power that will slowly develop in the computing world.

Have you heard of the “google assistant” – developed by Google.

Some functions include answering queries and placing dates within your calendar.

But what’s really interesting is that it can place calls on your behalf to make appointments at different locations like a dentistry, using a traditional voice that can understand nuances etc.

Today, AI can be used to educate, it can quickly work out knowledge gaps and can work out the most effective way to teach students new things, as the education system is old and students often find it difficult to learn with traditional school.

On the road, predictions can be made by AI to avoid potential catastrophic accidents using big data to optimise the flow of cars, reducing congestion, pollution and making the roads more friendly.

The problem we currently face as humans is there is a limit to the amount of numbers our brains can store or process at once, like big data, with the advancement of AI, this can be done in a fraction of a second and simulations of harmful incidents can be avoided – history will no longer repeat itself.

Although many advantages of AI, there are a few problems that humans face.

In terms of jobs, the bottom percentile of human workers like dish scrubbers in restaurants, will lose jobs because AI and robotics can learn to be flexible, replacing routined tasks.

In warehouses like amazon, which has 100, 000 robots, and human workers to do the packing tasks. This will soon change and warehouses will be completely automated.

That said, personally, I believe humans can be retrained to do different tasks in relation to maintaining the robots.

At the same time I believe this will open up many more job opportunities that can be fulfilled by humans.

And what happens when robots learn to disobey us and try to keep us all in a zoo.

This is an example of a threat which has been stimulated from deep within our minds because we disobey others that have more hierarchy than others.

Who knows, they may or may not disobey us.
