Professor at Vocational School of Heritage of Sintra, Portugal
Ana Mafalda Cardeira (Lisbon, 1990) holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts, Sciences of Art, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL), with a thesis focused on the modern influences in academic nude paintings of the FBAUL Collection. Also holds a Master’s Degree in Sciences of Conservation, Restoration and Production of Contemporary Art by the same institution, with a thesis titled ‘Material and Technical Characterization of Academic Nude Paintings” by José Veloso Salgado, belonging to the Collection of FBAUL’. As well as a Post-Graduation in Modern and Contemporary History, major in International Relations at the Superior Institute of Business and Labour Sciences of Lisbon. Was granted the Doctoral Program HERITAS, is a Grad Researcher Collaborator at Artistic Studies Research Centre / Faculty of Fine Arts and HERCULES Laboratory / University of Évora. Currently, is a lecturer of Materials Technologies and Behavior, as well as, Analytical Methods Applied to Art and Heritage at the Professional School of Heritage at Sintra. Has been an author of internationally published work in the field of analytical research of modern and contemporary artwork and conducted a team of colleagues in the development of the new FBAUL Virtual Museum, as Project Manager.

New virtual museum of the faculty of fine arts of Lisbon: Collections and virtual tour
In 2013, an interdisciplinary team managed by Ana Mafalda Cardeira proposed, under the Program of Support for Extracurricular Activities of the University of Lisbon, developments, digitalization of Engraving Collection and creation of a Virtual Tour of the Convent of São Francisco (Lisbon), the current Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. The website has been redesigned to improve the user experience and interface, which became available in its entirety, and the Virtual Tour, composed of museum information from Sculptures exposed at the Faculty.
