Professor and Founder – Northwestern University and bloXroute Labs
Professor Aleksandar Kuzmanovic is a Co-Founder and Chief Architect of bloXroute Labs, a blockchain scaling and DeFi infrastructure start-up. Professor Kuzmanovic is a computer networking expert and full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern University. His work includes writing the TCP-LP protocol deployed in Linux that allows bulk data transfers without compromising performance and developing DDOS countermeasures deployed by Akamai, the world’s largest cloud provider. Professor Kuzmanovic co-founded Google’s Measurement Lab initiative for monitoring global Net Neutrality and the National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded him a NSF Career Award.
Session: The Future of Blockchain Scaling and DeFi Trading
Scalability is essential to the success of any blockchain system, which can’t be fully achieved without a robust and efficient network infrastructure. In this talk, I will present the work done and results accomplished by bloXroute on building and deploying the first blockchain distribution network (BDN). I will explain how BDN enables blockchain networks to increase their transactions per second (TPS) rate. Finally, I will explain how bloXroute’s BDN empowers Decentralized Finance (DeFi) users to significantly improve their trading strategies and performance.
