Head of eCommerce at Jashanmal Group
A passionate digital native, who has spent the last decade launching and scaling ecommerce & omnichannel businesses across India, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
In this journey, I have been fortunate to be part of digital transformations of multi-billion dollar conglomerates in the Middle East (Al Tayer Group, Al Futtaim Group and Landmark Group), leading merchandising, category growth and customer experience.
Most recently I was in Indonesia, with Matahari Department Store, where I helped one of the biggest retailers in the country build, re-platform and grow omnichannel ground-up, as Head of Online Merchandising.
Currently heading Digital & Ecommerce with Jashanmal Group across brands like Clarks, De’longhi, Victorinox, Kipling and many more, as we transform our rich heritage into an engaging omnichannel experience.
Personally, I am a “technology as enabler” evangelist, avid reader and a hiking nerd who is always available for causes around children welfare, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
Track: e-Commerce & Omnichannel
Session: Transforming largescale, legacy retailers into agile omnichannel players
Omnichannel has been the buzzword in retail for quite sometime now. This has dominated the current retail strategy landscape even more post COVID.
However, the key questions that are often overlooked by legacy retailers chasing the halo effect:
– What does it mean to be truly omnichannel?
– What are the “must have investments and are all retailers ready for these?
– Expected challenges on the way and how do we mitigate them?
There is no one size-fits-all template but having worked at digital transformation of multi-million dollar retail conglomerates all my life, there are common traits and many similarities.
In this session we will summarize and explore these so that businesses looking to pivot digitally learn from trailblazers’ mistakes and leverage success stories.
