Maximilian Richter is a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant at the Institute for Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen (ICI-HSG). His work focuses mainly on the phenomenon of “autonomous driving” and mobility concepts that serve new trends. His research deals with the change in mobility due to autonomous driving. The research focuses on the impacts of an integration of autonomous cars on traffic and society. Hereby, the spotlight lies on autonomous Mobility on Demand (AMoD) within cities. In order to account for the complexity and uncertainty of this disruptive future development, different types of traffic simulation are used as methodological approach to predict the changes in future urban areas through new mobility.
Maximilian Richter decided to pursue a career in the field of mobility by studying industrial engineering and civil engineering with a focus on transportation and international economics at the RWTH Aachen University. Maximilian Richter collected his first professional experiences in the industry in management consulting at Deutsche Bahn Management Consulting.
